Foodblog record 2016 - with a little travel!

This year there’ll be a slightly different end-of-year review. Because I join the #foodblogbilanz2016 of Sabine. She owns the blog Schmeckt nach mehr and she started this amazing project.

But I don’t want to chat that much now but show us my answers to the asked questions.

What was your most successful blog post in 2016?

My most successful blog post this year were my Cinnamon roll muffins. I made them as a little goodbye treat for my colleagues before I started my 3 month off.

Which three of your own blog post meant the most to you?

For one the post about the Matcha Day, because this was my first official event where I was invited to since I’m a blogger.
Furthermore the first part of my travel guide for Chicago. With this post I started the travel part on my blog.
Lastly the review of the German book ‚Back dich glücklich’. After a long time I could share a book recommendation with you incuding a great recipe.

And which three posts of other blogs inspired you the most?

Definitely this one of my lovely friend Sylvi. With this post she shows that baking isn’t always love, peace and harmony, but from time to time it can be really horrible. 😉
Furthermore this post from Julia about travelling in a campervan. Because I had a long journey in a camper ahead of me this post was really inspiring and helpful.
And there is this post of Marie and Chris about their last station in Guatemala. Very funny and definitely inspired me to put Guatemala on my travel list!

Wish of the recipes you published in 2016 you cooked yourself the most – and why?

Okay, in my case the question would have to contain baking. But I guess it is this Strawberry Almond Cake. I made this cake a few times this year. It just tastes amazingly lovely and for such a cake quiet quick to make.

Which cooking or blog problem bothered you in 2016? And did you find a solution?

This year I relocated my blog. But this caused me quite a headache because it took so much time and I was a little afraid that it won’t work out before I went abroad for nearly 3 months with only spare internet access. But fortunately it all worked out in time.

What was your culinary new discovery this year – which food, which recipe, which technique, which taste opened up your horizons?

In Australia and New Zealand I tasted Lamingtons and filled, savory pies and it was just amazing! You’ll definitely find recipe to both of them next year on the blog. 🙂

What was the best (or funniest) search word which brought the people to your blog?

Unfortunately I can’t serve you funny search word. Mine are mostly pretty boring. 😀

What do you wish for yourself and your blog in 2017?

I hope that I can publish some more travel posts and be more diligent when it comes to blogging than this year.
