Lazy Sunday!

Today is the perfect day to be lazy. It’s Sunday. It’s cold and cloudy outside. So it’s just perfect to stay at home and have a good time. And to make your ‚Lazy Sunday’ even better I have an extremely tasty recipe for amazing fluffy waffles for you. The first in the history of Baking Avenue. 🙂

Fluffige Waffeln 5

Fluffige Waffeln 2

Because I received a waffle iron for belgian waffles as a gift from my sister and her boyfriend for Christmas. And today I finally found the time to test my new iron. For my first waffles I used a very simple recipe, whereby the waffles become fluffy and tasty. I found the recipe in Cynthia Barcomi’s Backbuch.

  1. • 280 g flour
  2. • 3 tsp baking powder
  3. • 45 g sugar
  4. • ½ tsp salt
  5. • 3 eggs
  6. • 60 g melted butter
  7. • 200 ml milk
  1. Separate the eggs and mix the egg yolk with butter and milk. Add the dry ingredients and mix it until you just have a dough.
  2. Whisk stiff the egg whites and mix about 1/3 of the mass with the dough. Exceptionally mix it in very well. Now fold in carefully the remaining egg white.
  3. And now bake your waffles with the instructions of your waffle iron.
