In the Christmas bakery!

I love the cookie baking for Christmas! This puts you a bit more into that Christmas mood, even though the weather doesn’t act the way I want. If I had it my way there would already be snow everywhere. 🙂

Today I show you the 2. recipe from our Christmas bakery. There is Marzipan Spritz Cookies! So tasty! And my colleagues were very excited about the cookie delivery as well. 😉

Unfortunately I didn’t count the amount of cookies we had. but it really was a good amount! About 2 big round cookie jars. 🙂

  1. • 300 g soft butter
  2. • 400 g marzipan paste
  3. • 80 g sugar
  4. • 2 tsp bourbon vanilla sugar
  5. • 6 egg yolks
  6. • 2 eggs
  7. • 1 small bottle bitter almond oil or 2 tbsp almond liqueur
  8. • 100 ml milk
  9. • 600 g flour
  10. • Chocolate coating and sugar pearls for decoration
  1. Mix butter, crumbled marzipan paste, sugar and vanilla sugar with your mixer until everything is combined. Bit by bit add egg yolk and eggs together with oil/liqueur and milk and stir it in. Sift the flour and work it in the dough.
  2. Preheat the oven to 170 °C/340 °F. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper. Now pipe the dough with an icing bag with a radial icing tip or a cookie press onto the tray. Be creative with the forms. There’s no need for only the standard straight line or the S. 😉
  3. Place them in the oven for about 15-20 min. Let them cool on a wire rack. Now melt the coating in a bain-marie and spread the chocolate on one half of each cookie. Afterwards decorate them with sugar pearls.
